Fall is the time of year when being outdoors seems extra exhilarating. The trees are changing color. I love riding the paths, through the woods and open fields on an ATV. There is something magical that happens experiencing the vivid leaves by riding around them, instead of riding in a car and passing through a road cutting a path between them. Riding an ATV is better, I believe, because it involves more of your senses. To many, Fall means the start of hunting season. Hunting is often a tradition and every bit a ritual of season. This is also the time of the year when people hop on their ATV or in their pick-up trucks to look for deer rubbings and other signs of bucks. We check to see that our deer stands are in good condition. For a lot of us, fall is when we get out and cherish all that summer has given us. Fall is harvest time. Combines work fields. Wheat, corn, peanuts, soybeans and other crops are harvested and taken to market.  Fall, planning to see the spectacular beauty in the woods and I’m eager for wonderful food from great harvest; the sound of hounds in the distance and eating venison from the day’s hunt.

                                                                                    

             

            GUN SAFETY

 

I can't stress enough about gun safety. Always treat a gun as if it is loaded. I found that there are Hunter's education courses given by the state. Take one to refreshen-up on your knowledge.
